Pixplace and Channel Advisor – Oh Why Oh Why

Perhaps someone can help me out.  I am at a loss to understand why Pixmania with their marketplace pixplace agreed to an exclusive deal with Channeladvisor.  Surely this can only restrict the number of sellers through the system?

Perhaps they are just a bit rubbish overall.  I have received two emails from them asking me to sell on their platform, but then never replied to my emails asking for more information.

    In answer to your question….

    Channel Advisor is currently developing software that will allow customers to sell into 26 countries through the Pixmania websites. However, when this goes live this will only represent a small percent of our overall sellers. The decision to do this on an exclusivity basis was because we are only 1 year old, and we would like to see the results before we open the doors to other Third Party Integrators.

    Its important to understand that PixPlace has dedicated in house Business development managers, who are currently recruiting new companies throughout Europe to sell through the Pixmania platform. For more information, please contact uk-pixplace@fotovista.com

    One of my clients had the same trouble also. I hope to get over the hurdle and sell on the platform for Christmas 2009.

    Hopefully it will be worth the tears in getting the feeds working.
