Hot on the heels of iSold-it US announcing that they were not going to be taking on any more franchisees, iSold-it UK is shutting up shop. Is this the death knell for the concept of stand alone drop-off shops in the UK? At Auctioning4u we have always maintained that the only way to make money out of this industry is with central processing, as the low margins require economies of scales. It looks like we were right!
iSold it have been selling the dream of the successful stand alone drop shop, which unfortunately rarely happens. The investors have wisely pulled the plug before the litigation starts……
