I stopped selling on eBay. Aside from the listing costs, the obligation to use PayPay (also owned by eBay) and be charged another percentage, as well as currency conversion costs made the whole thing a joke!

I can currently deal with local and US customers using Interac through my TD account and the cost is $1.50 per transaction regardless of the size of the transaction.

Neither Craigslist nor Kijiji charge for posting ads, support photographs at no charge have no sales fees.

Why exactly should I go back to eBay?

I also buy clocks on ebay and some of the `buy it now` prices, often for very tired looking items, is so outrageous that I can`t work out whether the seller is totally ignorant on the subject or is working some sort of scam. None of them seem to attract any offers, although I have never tracked those that have been re-listed.

Unfortunately some sellers cannot resist going for unrealistic prices. I buy clocks on ebay, as a collector, and some of the "buy it now" prices are laughable to anyone who has a little knowledge. To ask for £1200.00 for a 1930`s reproduction Lantern Clock when I can buy a genuine 17th century one for £2000.00 or just under, is just not on. There is currently a clock listed with a starting bid of £50.00 when I secured an identical one for £45.00 two weeks ago after eight bids, and they usually go for a couple of pounds less. I can go through a list of clocks and instantly pick out the ones that won`t attract a bid, and I`m unusually wrong.
